Jim Kaufman has decades of civil litigation experience. He began his law career in insurance defense, where he learned insurance coverages, exclusions, and the procedural and substantive nuances of declaratory judgment lawsuits. He spent nearly fifteen years working for two major multi-line insurance companies, including over ten years as the Managing Attorney of an Oklahoma City litigation office where he won recognition for numerous jury trial outcomes.

Jim has handled nursing home litigation, child and elder abuse lawsuits, special education litigation, oil field injuries, serious vehicle collisions including traumatic brain injuries, employment law defense for a major home improvement retailer and a major integrated oilfield manufacturer and service company, TCPA and purported class actions, and cases involving semi-tractor trailer collisions.

Jim has broad experience in both sides of personal injury and wrongful death litigation and has litigated hundreds and tried multiple lawsuits to successful jury trial verdicts. Jim’s main interest is counseling and representing parties and individuals to successful outcomes all the way from verdicts through appeals.
